Daniel Mermelstein is a Senior VFX Compositor and Compositing Supervisor based in Toronto, Canada. Over the past 15 years, Daniel has delivered photorealistic shot integration, stereoscopic depth, and complex environmental set extensions across some of the most technically demanding films in the industry at facilities including MPC, Mavericks VFX, Stereo D, Rocket Science VFX, and Prime Focus World.
Beyond production compositing, Daniel explores custom Python and generative AI pipelines (ComfyUI, neural rotomattes, depth estimation), audio-reactive systems, and modular synthesizer sound design—bringing cross-disciplinary problem-solving to every shot sequence.
